31 Minutes with the ‘Drone

In the last post I mentioned some changes to the Drone that I had yet to test. I’m happy to say that the test flight went great! I ended up flying it for 31 minutes with a bit of battery left. ;)

I moved the UHF antenna from the wing onto the fuselage to fix the drag/yaw issue which worked great! I also relocated the GPS antenna farther back away from the vTX, that solved the issues with getting a GPS lock and setting home position.

Outstanding video & aircraft design, would like to know your thought process on layout and future changes.
    Great Work!,!

Thanks! I can’t take credit for the design, it’s one of Ed’s designs. (ExperimentalAirlines on YouTube) You should check out his latest build: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOYaX6JWgd4

Personally I’m thinking I might move towards a twin-boom pusher design at some point. Not really sure where I’ll go with it yet though… ;)
